Yep. thats what the nurse at school said when I got the call. Science experiment. Standing on his desk, fell trying to get off... 'Looks like a compound fracture... can you come right away?' SERIUOSLY!? so I run, grab all the kids throw most of them at my friends and rush to emergency with a screamin Stevie. after the Xrays revealed no real breaks they looked for hair lines... Nothin. all swollen still in a lot of pain and nothing, so they wrapped him up, and sent us home. That was last Thursday, Monday at school, he gets hit with a ball and he comes unglued with pain. I call the Orthopedic DR who did both Lizzie and Stevie's last casts, and he says come in right away. Stevie has broken his Growth Plate for the wrist. Swell. that means cast #1 for 3 weeks, then cast #2 for at least 3 weeks and xrays every 6months with possible surgery down the line... I love his teacher, but I gotta say, Haven't you met my kid already? Seriously?!
