Jimmy's 2013 Pinewood Derby!
Well technically, its his last! which makes this our family's last Pinewood Derby Ever! have to say, a part of me will miss it. But i think a bigger part is okay with it! ;) Jimmy and daddy made his car just a couple of days before the Derby because of Steve's surgery and such. But it came out really nice! Purple is Jimmy's favorite color so that was a must. Didn't win any trophies, but frankly it was the fastest car we have ever had! Yay!! for Jimmy!!

Big Changes for Katie Jo
My Darling little Katie Jo has long beautiful hair. She was Rapunzel for Halloween and never wanted to cut it. Ever! She hated to wash it. She hated to have it brushed. Every Morning was a real struggle to do anything with it. But she never wanted to cut it. Then one day last month she said out of the blue. 'I wanna cut my hair short, like this!' pulling her hair up to her ear!. Then again, another day. Pretty soon I was worried she would do it herself! so I called a friend who cuts hair, I called another friend to take her picture before we cut it off, and then we did the deed. Jo was so happy! She loves it! She spend most of that day after the cut saying, 'Don't I look Fan-say?' We were able to donate 11 inches of hair to Wigs for Kids. and My baby girl looks all grown up. :( I miss the hair, but I dont miss the morning screaming, or the breakfast lunch and dinner stuck in her hair. :) and best of all, she is Happy! I love my Baby girl.
Katie Jo 4yr Pictures

I know I'm a slacker. I realize her birthday was way back in October, but when Jo decided she wanted to cut her beautiful long hair I realized i didn't have any nice pics of her and all her long hair. :) So I called my Friend Alicia. Let Jo pick out her very favorite outfit, and off to the park we went. Jo isn't easy to take pics of, But I think Alicia did a terrific job! and these came out beautifully. And Captured alot of Katie Jo's personality.

Piggies!!
Meet Gus and Bernie!
I have always wanted Guinea Pigs! I love them! they are funny and lovable and frankly very cool. I kept not getting them because it seems like the kids barely take care of the animals we do have. I'm always reminding them or just doing the stuff myself. But I just started thinking, its me that has always wanted them. Its me that would take care of them. So they would be MINE!! Sweet. That morning I went on Craigslist just to see... well there they were! Free! with Cage, with food! the lady brought them home to discover her Husband was highly allergic so the Piggies had to go and fast! on top of all that they lived just across the street in the next development! So one rash decision later and I was home with my new friends! Crazy. I hadn't even talked to Steve yet, I hadn't even met the Piggies till they were in my car! Nuts but so fun. I went home and immediately spent all day doing more research on them so I had a good idea how to care for them. I soon discovered the cage they had housed in, was waaaaay too small, so after more research I found what we needed to build for them. Mikey built it and designed the perfect Piggy pen. They dont smell like ferrets and Rabbits, so they are in our family rm with us. I am so in love and the are getting more and more comfortable with us. Molly loves to nudge them when they are on the floor, but they don't mind her and she just watches. The Cats could care less. Its funny actually, the day we brought them home, everyone watched, sniffed and then nobody cared. :) Piggies ARE Cool!!

Emergency Surgery for Daddy
Early Saturday morning on the 19th of Jan. Steve woke up to horrible pain in his upper abdomen. He had this once before but he was able to 'walk it off' and take some Tums. This night was different, it got worse and there was nothing we could do to help. we ended up in the ER. After a whole lot of pain meds and an ultra sound, they admitted him for Gall Bladder surgery the next morning. Routine, no big deal, in fact they repaired an umbilical hernia whiel they were there. :) but it turns out Steve, who has never been under anesthesia before, had a bad reaction to it all. They had a really hard time waking him up and keeping him awake was the next struggle. It really was a scary thing for us. After 4 days in the hospital he was able to come home. We are so grateful for the Doctors and Nurses who studied and learned so that they would have the skills to help us. And so very Grateful to My Father in Heaven for keeping my Love safe yet again.
