Happy 7th Birthday Jimmy!

Nov 28th 2002, on Elizabeth's 3rd Birthday, James Stanley Roberts was born. Yep, they share the same birthday, and its been fun actually. It was the early morning and a quiet, wonderful birth. Just Steve, the Doc and one nurse. He came into this world looking around and checking it all out with his big bright blue eyes. he has always been into everything and stubborn. He has always known what he wanted and willing to 'take a chance' on anything. He is so smart and strong willed. My Little Jimmy James has the ability to make me laugh, cry and think, sometimes all at the same time!. Everyone who knows him seems to have their own 'Jimmy story' to tell. One of My Favorites is a time when he was just 2, I noticed strange lights coming from down the hall in our old home, turning off and on. I followed it to find Jimmy standing on the toliet seat with a string of christmas lights in the toilet and his hand on the light switch saying, "Off...On...Off..."Jimmy James, You're one of a kind!

Happy Birthday Lizzie!

Elizabeth LaVon Roberts was born on November 28 1999. WE named her after our Grandmothers. She was 8.2 pounds and so beautiful. When she was very little she had no real hair, it just grew on top in one spot and looked like a bad hair piece. Then after she was one she developed these amazing ringlets all over so sweet. she walked at 10 months but didnt speak until she was 18 months. she babled all day an all night. One sweet memory we have of her when she was this little she would stand at the edge of a room, clear her throat and then babble away, stop, spread her arms out wide, bow her head and say "QU" (thank you) and then walk away. she used to "interview" people with her play microphone like a reporter too. Her favorite joke when she was 3? "knock, knock" who's there? "Its ME!" Even when she was little she wasnt into dolls of any kind, it was always some kind of animal. Stuffed, hard, plastic real, it didnt matter. She has always had a very special love of animals. Dear Elizabeth,You have always been so special and unique and thats a great thing! We love you Lizzie!

Vacation to California

Well we made it there and back and lived to tell about it. The kids had a blast, we got to do almost everything we had actually planned out to do and nobody got sick. I call that a great trip indeed. We spent time with Grandma and Papa Roberts in Ripon with Auntie Lisa, and had their kids first Japanese food ( and they survived)We got to meet our newest little cousin Johnny. Soooo Cute! and lizzie made a necklace with aunt Jen. The boys got to do archery with Daddy in the backyard, and of course the boys had their annual worm hunt. ( I know your jealous).
On Monday we went to a minigolf place with Go-carts and bumper cars, that was dead because it was weekday, and the kids raced till they couldn't feel their legs anymore. Actually Jimmy and Stevie almost fell asleep while racing around with Daddy on the track. On tuesday, Auntie Lisa took them on nature hike and Lizzie found a pregnant praying mantis.
On Wednesday we met Aunt Susie at the SF Zoo and got to spend the day with her and Britty. It was so crowded but way fun. We used to go to the SF Zoo all the time. It was good to see it all again and hangin with britty and susie is always a blast!

On Friday we headed over to SF again to Golden Gate park and the California Academy of sciences with Uncle Mikey. It was an amazing museum with somuch to see, we barely fit it all in. the kids favorite part was the aquarium and the rain forest dome
Saturday was China Town in SF. Wow. crazy crowded and fun. we bought so much and then we came home and I wished we had gotten more of the amazing deals! I love a good bargin! Steve and Lizzie got Chinese hats and actually wore them most of the day...I guess they wanted to 'blend in'. strangley enough, it didnt work so well. ;) The smells and shops and fun things to experience make Chinatown one of my most favorite spots in the city and it was nice to experience it with my children for the first time. from Pork buns to silky shiny purses. China town is an adventure always worth taking.
We really did have a wonderful time and it was so rejuvinating to my soul, you know to just run away and forget all of our 'problems'. Life is good and we are blessed. How fun it was see and do all we did, and to spend some good times with our family. We miss you all! See ya next year!

A New Do for Sue!

Its been way too long since I looked so cute! and this is after a long wind blown day! a while ago I decided I had had bangs for way too long so I grew them out and with that, my 'youth' disappeared! I all of a sudden looked my age and well that just cant be, so I called my friend Brenda, and got her daughter's number, went in and said "I need a miracle fix it". She was so brave, She listened to my needs and desires and she jumped right in and I love my new hair I love it! I love it! did I say I love it! Thank you thank you Melissa at Country Cuts!<
