Its time to add another to the Roberts household

Forever my Nature girl has wanted a pet of her very own. If it cant be a horse or chickens she wanted a parakeet. the problem is mom doesn't like birds. Honestly birds don't like me. I have been pecked at, spit on, dived at, and pooped on, enough to cause an actual fear of the evil little things. That being said, she begged and pleaded so much that we decided she was probably responsible enough for one of her own. The deal was pretty simple, keep your room clean, bed made. do all your chores and be willing to do more. Show initiative in helping. I thought I would be pretty safe for a while, but no such luck. She worked, she cleaned she did extra things everyday for the whole month! I couldn't continue to say no. So meet Sparkie who between you and me, ain't so Sparkie. he's kind of dumb and has fallen off the perch a bunch of times already. He might not make the 15 year life span. One can only hope!

Its My Party!!

Today is Mothers Day, and I for one have had a marvelous time. Sometimes it just plain fun to have everyone say, "I'll do it for you!". Okay, I wouldn't complain in the least if it lasted a little longer then this morning, but who's complaining. ;)
I got Roses from across the Country, from my big Brudda Steve. I got Free Baby Sitting from Uncle Mikey, and BBQ Cheese Burgers tonight! I got Crepes with Nutella and bananas for breakfast from my Hunny. I got to go to Church with my beautiful Family and Listen to my Hunny speak about his Mother and his Sweetheart,( me!) I got sweet hand made cards and a pink potted Lima bean plant from Jimmy. Life is good. Life is Sweet and I am blessed. I miss My Mom today. I am grateful for the lessons she taught me and the love that she always showed me. Happy Mothers Day My Reasons to Smile

Silly Pictures from Primary today, the caption reads "I'm Totally Serious when I say I Love You!

I cant remember the last time I ever had Roses. How pretty are these?

How long does a lima Bean Plant last anyways?

Yummy Won Tons

Every Wednesday is 'What the Heck? Wednesday" around here. I make something we have never had before, and sometimes its difficult to come up with something new. My Cousin posted about making these on FB, so I grabbed the recipe and we made them so easy cheesy and popular too! It was fun to make all together and we will definitely do this again! Love that you can fill it with almost anything!! even Fruit and make little fruit pies! Yumm.

Pooh on the Door step?

We came home the other night to Pooh all over my front porch! what a wonderfully fun thing it was too. While the Kids were all Giddy and choosing their Favs, Steve and I tried to Figure out where it all came from. I had loaned a friend some videos and she returned them, and shared 'Them'!! What a wonderfully thoughtful, kind thing to do! she got them to use as props in pictures, but it never really worked out and then she thought of me while decluttering. How lucky am I!? She says, 4 kids 4 characters, perfect. I said, yeah right! Mine! mine! Mine! mine!

A Very Special Opportunity

On Friday we had an opportunity to visit and tour the brand new Temple in Gila Valley. This really was a special occasion. it took us almost 3 hours to get there and a lot of arguing in the car, but it was all worth it. As a Mormon, our meeting houses or in other words, Chapels, where we meet on Sunday and have special activities during the week, are open to the public and all are welcome. A Temple is different. its not open to the public. Its used for special ordinances like sealings (marriage) and such. To enter, you need a special recommend that you receive from your Bishop. When a temple is completed, prior to the dedication, they hold an 'Open House" for about 2 weeks, so that anyone and everyone may enter the Temple. and see it all. Then it is dedicated as a House of the Lord and from that point on, a recommend is required. We were able to bring the Children and Uncle Mikey and walk through the Temple as a family. what a tremendous blessing it was. Of course Jo and I got kicked out half way through, but what we did see was wonderful. When I asked the kids their favorite part? Jimmy said "The Disco Ball Room!" It took a minute for me to realize he meant the Celestial Room. It has a giant Crystal chandelier. :)
If you ever have the opportunity to go to a Temple Open House I say do it! Member or Not. Life's an adventure always, right?
