It Wiggled till it Dangled,

and yet he wouldn't let me touch it. It fianlly came out at school in the cheese burger. Even though you see two teeth missing, this is Jimmy'e first actual big boy loss. The top front tooth was damaged and then evetually lost in a running and then slamming into concrete accident, when he was 3. Its Jimmy you know. He made me wait a day to take the picture because he said he looked dumb. I showed him how he could eat through it with a straw and Stevie showed him how he could spit through the new gap. Thanks ever so much big brother.

I cant stands its no more!

I just got so tired of looking at the knitted poop that I had to blog something. blog about anything!! I mean honestly, what bad timing to have our lives slow down. Okay so here is what we are doing now. we are packing! packing to go to AaalaaaBAMA! My niece is getting married and my kids are going to be in the wedding. It sounded like fun a few months ago, but here we are, planning and preparing to take the children, and all of their Stuffed Animals, Transformers and Star Wars guys on an airplane across the country, Don't forget the bottles, diapers, and binkies! What was I thinking!? Okay first of all, to all those bad guys out there, we have someone staying at the house and I don't have anything anyways, so forget about it!
You know its a bad sign when Jimmy's kindergarten Teacher suggest I use benadril. alright, not so surprising to those of you who have met Jimmy, but again I ask what was I thinking?! I should have just sent a hallmark, you know, 'when you care enough to send the very best!'

A Blessed Day

Sunday was Katie Jo's Blessing. Our cousin Aubrey was Baptized on Saturday. We decided to wait for the blessing, so that most of the Family could attend both, and that way the family got a twofer! I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for the blessing of this sweet angel in our lives, She has helped us to remember whats really important in this life. She brightens our everyday with her glorious smile. It was so wonderful to see everyone and enjoy their company as we celebrated these special days. My baby. my sweet baby Katie Jo Marie Roberts Welcome.

Can it get any bigger?

I mean honestly people, give me a break!
So here is the scoop;
the 'cute' rainbow cast that my dearest daughter got on Wednesday, fell off Wednesday night. "Is that supposed to happen?" she asks. Ah, yeah No! so I stuff the stuff back in and make it go back on. I call in the morning, (Jo Jo was still sick so Uncle Mikey took her to get the new one.) Thank goodness Uncle Mikey went instead of me, They wanted to charge us again. . .Hellloo! I would have paid and then complained the whole way home. Mikey? well he just laughed and said, "OKay, If you bring your car to the mechanic to fix it, and the part falls off on the way home, are you gonna pay for it?" "of course not", says the nurse. "Yea,neither will I." Saved me some cash, but now I wonder if that's why they made the darn thing so freakin big!!!
Did I mention Lizzie is the flower girl in my niece's wedding? great, just great.

New Years Resolution?

I don't normally set myself up with these, because frankly, How many years in a row can you start 'the diet' and still believe in it? So here is my 'new' resolution. I will better prepare my family. I am jumping into the scary world of food storage and all that that entails. You know wheat, wheat grinding and other really terrifying things. Through a friend I found this site and so far it isn't that scary, and so far, no grinding!!
Thought I would share

I mean how bad can it be to save money, eat healthier, Teach my children about the blessings of healthy cooking, and following the counsel of our prophet. Wish me luck!!

What did you do this weekend?

We planned to go "camping" in the Rv but everything was booked, so we did Tombstone instead.and boy were we glad! what a blast we had. I highly reccomend it to everyone. We are going back because we missed alot of it, we never really got off the main road, crazy. Everyone is in constumes, everyone stays in character and everyone has story to tell. We arrived Saturday late afternoon, did a little site seeing, then headed back to camp to cook our dinner! after our yumm cookout, we watched Bolt, which is still in the theaters, on Uncel Mikey's homemade big screen! How fun. we made our own breakfast and then headed into town for a comedy gunfight for the kids. then off to the Mine to learn about Silver mining, then to lunch. After lunch we goofed off and took pictures visited the petting zoo and shopped. We missed alot and still had tons of fun.

And the Bad Mommy Award goes to. . .

So you have to ask yourself, How safe is a kid built wooden teeter-totter in the backyard. Okay not that safe, but in my defense, they were happy, playing on their own and out of my hair. Aah! I mean they were enjoying the great outdoors. Outdoor! sure we had a few injuries. a few splinters or bruised shins from the build, but really whats the big deal? I plucked it out, or gave them a boo boo bag. Okay this is the big deal. Lizzie broke her arm that day. And as if you weren't already questioning my mommy licence, I didn't have her arm xrayed until Wednesday, where we discovered it was indeed broken. (Notice how happy she is, the little bugger), again I have a defense! it never swelled or bruised, She even used it, she just kinda favored it. Bad Mommy Bad bad Mommy. But hey! Its just the beginning of the year, I'm sure I won't hold the record all year...will I?

As if our neighbors didn't already think we were white trash

The kids built their very own Teeter-Totter and Steve wanted a camp fire, so he dug a hole in the back yard. Oh well, we can't all be high class, they had fun and we had a cheap weinie roast for dinner, and Smores for dessert! Now youre jealous

How did you ring in the New Year?

I have to admit, for more years then I care to tell, I have been in bed by the time the New Year came. Kids who wake up way too early no matter what, will do that to ya. But this year, with all that has happened, I thought it was about time to ring in the New Year! To Celebrate the Adventures yet to come. And to say goodbye to the old. 2008 was filled with the good, the bad,and even the ugly. We lost Grandma Jo this year, Katie Jo arrived and the seemingly never ending battle with money. What this new year has in store for us as a family, as a country, I do not know. I only know that I am eternally grateful to my Father in Heaven for all that we do have. I am grateful for my family, and dear friends. I am grateful for all the comforts of life that we hold dear. I am grateful for my children and their health, and my eternal companion, but mostly I am humbled for all that I have been given. The road isn't always easy, and I see some real bumps coming up, but My children are healthy, My Man loves me, and I have family and friends that will stand by me through it all. I am blessed and grateful for another New start to this wonder filled life.
Happy New Year dear friends. And Happy New Adventures!
