Well we made it there and back and we got the T-Shirts to prove it.
It was a nice trip. We got Lizzie's cast off the day before the trip thank goodness. The kids enjoyed the Airplane ride and the other passengers enjoyed the trip as well with the help of benedril. Not for the baby, JoJo happened to sleep through all the flights. the benedril was for Jimmy, I'm not that bad of a mommy. The Bride and Groom have just Graduated from Auburn University and are very proud of it, so the wedding colors were Orange and Blue. Not easy, but its what she wanted. The Groom got the Flu from his best friend the day before we arrived, so at the Friday night rehearsal, he was laid out in the back of the church trying to hold onto his lunch. So off to the to the hospital for Tony and onto the BBQ restaurant for the wedding party. So yummy for sure! Real southern BBQ , sauces and accents, free of charge. Someone had to translate the waitress for me, but I think I ordered the boneless cat fish. (should have gotten the pulled pork, so way good.) Tony felt much better for the wedding the next day, okay lets be honest, he was standing and so that's much better right? I guess the only icky part of the trip was at the very end, here in phoenix. 11pm at night mind you, full flight. I had a very asleep JoJo in my arms and a diaper bag and Lizzie's back pack. As I stood up, I somehow blew out my knee and c0lapsed back into the chair in way too much pain, after letting the whole plane empty I attempted to stand again with nothing in my arms only to have it happen again. Big girls don't fit well in a plane as it is, and the thought of me falling in the aisle and having 3 men try to drag me out? yeah that's a mental image I know. So I fought through it and I got off the plane, I had to use a wheel chair though, because with out chairs on either side of me, I just couldn't walk, no matter what I did. Monday morning we went to urgent care, nothing broken, blessings! and I have an MRI next week, but right now, a stunning knee brace and a shiny blue walker, are my new best friends. I am so grateful it was at the end of the trip, honestly, it could have been so much worse when you really think about it.
My niece looked amazing, actually both of them did. her sister, Jennifer, was the Maid of Honor. sweet huh? Yeah it was all a very nice trip and wonderful to see family and to share this special moment together.
How blessed we were to be there.
