It just doesnt seem fair

For my baby to be so sick on her 5 month birthday. She is so sweet and always so happy. Even when she feels so rotten with diarrhea and her eyes are seeping green gunk, she smiles in between the tears. its so close to pitiful I just cuddle her as much as she wants. poor sweet little thing. and before you pull my mommy card, yes she is under Doctors care and we are watching carefully. My sweet angel is a sicky this week

Ward Rodeo!

Saturday was our ward Rodeo, and it was so much fun! They had horses to ride, and animals to terrorize ( I mean pet), face painting and games galore. And what kind of church activity would it be without way too much food! We brought our Cousins, Chloe, Jolie and Aubrie and we all had a Blast!

Today is different

My Blog is about my family adventures. My blog isn't filled with personal insights or sad mopey days, (not usually anyways) ;) I wanted to start my blog to share our days with our family and friends who are not here to share them with us. Through the blog world I have found long lost friends, and have made new ones as well. I love my Blog world. I miss it when I am not here and I enjoy sharing in the lives of my dear blogging friends. But today I feel strongly to share something else. Something in a sense much more. This is info in regards to my church, our beliefs about Temples and why we build them.

I honor my membership as a Mormon and the sacred rolls our temples fulfill.

Baptism Day!!

In our Church, when a child turns eight years old, they get Baptized by someone who holds the authority to do so. With everyone's busy schedule, not all of our family was able to be there. But it was still a very special day. We are so grateful to all of our family and friends who were with us on Stevie's special day.

Happy Birthday Stevie

Yesterday was my Angel Baby's birthday. My Miracle Baby is now officially 8 years old and will be baptized on Saturday. It seems like just the other year that we found out we were pregnant again, Lizzie was only 7 months old. She was such a good baby, we figured that since we were so good at this parenting thing, it wouldn't be a problem to have another so soon. ;) You moms know what I mean when I start this story out by saying I knew from the beginning that something was wrong. At the sonogram, when they found a 'growth' growing in there with him I was actually relieved. okay now we know what it is and we can go from there, right?. It was decided it was a molar pregnancy, that means its a twin that never makes it passed the first few stages, but its placenta and such continues to grow in a deformed state and take over the surviving twin. We were brought in 3 or 4 different occasions and counseled to end the pregnancy. If the fetus (not a baby to them ever) even made it to full term it could take me and 'it' wouldn't survive a day. they showed horrific pictures of the deformities we were facing. We then headed off to Steve's family, and Steve and his Dad gave me a blessing. in that blessing we were told that he was a boy, and that the Lord would protect him. He was a choice spirit and the Lord wasn't done with him, he would be healthy and strong. Next week at the doctors, We explained to them our beliefs and that we would see this through to the end no matter what, and no more pictures or counselors on death. The pregnancy continued on, and Stevie was born 1 month early at almost 5 pounds, 'the blob' weighed in at 5.2lbs. My little Angel was perfect in every way. They kept him in the hospital for 2 weeks for testing and because he was a preemie (technically). The nurses called him "Moose" because for a preemie he was big. At the time of his birth there were only 3 other known cases of a healthy molar pregnancy, Stevie is now in the Medical Journal as # 4. My Miracle Baby, Stevie Taumaloto. He is named after the two important Priesthood figures in my life, My husband and my Samoan Dad. Taumaloto means strong of heart or lions heart.
He has always been so loving and sweet, very sensitive and kind. He is my goofy kid who enjoys to laugh and make others laugh as well. You have changed my life and strengthened my testimony, I love you my Son. Happy Birthday!! Stevie Taumaloto Roberts, My Miracle Boy I love you.

What do they call those

little boxes with a story? I cant remember, but Lizzie made hers. If you look close, the Dino is reading a book about people, the caveman is reading about Dinos, the pterodactyl is reading a book on how to fish and the Long neck on the ground is reading about flying. Its fun hanging out in Lizzies world once in a while.

Show and Tell

Lizzie has been dying to take Katie Jo in for her class Show and Tell and finally, it was her turn! She was so proud. She answered all the questions and then offered for 3 kids to have a turn holding her... okay, we hadnt talked about that, so I ran for the diaper bag and my hand sanitizer and made it back to the front of the class before the first eager germmy kid was out of their seat. Next baby, its a 'look dont touch' day!

Pinewood Derby Time!!

Proud Daddy and Stevie with car they built

The Car

Winning Smile and Boy!

This last Saturday was our pinewood derby, and now you know my new calling. cub committee chairman. basically I make sure the cub program and events happen and stay organized, at least I think that's it. ;)
Its all new to me. It was Stevie's very first Derby and boy was Daddy excited! Together they built his very first car. Stevie drew a picture of what he wanted, then drew it on the car, Steve cut it out, Stevie sanded it then painted it. He was so proud! He got 2nd place it two races but there were some fancy cars out there and he didn't make it through to the end. He was a little broken hearted, poor guy, but he got an honorable mention in the end so he was happy. and of course, there is always next year!!
