2013 Recap #10

Our Local Library is pretty darn Cool if I do say so myself. They work really hard to make going to the library a really fun experience! This time since it was May 4th, they had Star Wars Day! It was soooo much fun!! Characters walking around posing and signing autographs, and makin lightsabers and Yoda ears. Stevie was the one who was Dying for this event and then when we got there, he was tryin to be all cool and stuff, but then he finally got into it and just started havin a blast! posing with his favorites and all and when it was all said and, it was a great family day filled with fun memories. We even got to spend it with our dear friends the Howards!! Love that Family May 2013

2013 Recap #9

April 2013 Lake Trip! We have a pretty nice lake about 40 minutes from here. Not bad for living in the Desert! we try to go a few time during the summer but I think we only made it twice this year. this time Daddy got to make it! Yay for Family Time!

2013 Recap #8

April 2013 Stevie's 1st year at Boy Scout Camp! 4 days away.... Yeah it was hard. He is my sensitive one. He was worried about being away from home so long and what if this and what if that. But he went with some great leaders and he went with a Great group of boys he had a blast! Every dirty gross hard moment of it. And Yep!, he can't wait for this year to do it all over again!

2013 Recap #7

Pumpkin Had Kittens! We are not Bad people I swear! Pumpkin was a stray our friends found but couldn't keep. Steve and i have grown up with kittens and wanted the kids to have that experience as well, just once. ;) But Maybe not so close up. Pumpkin decided to have her kittens on Jojo's Pillow while she slept! Yep. that happened. Jo never woke up and when everything was all said and done, (5 hrs later!) I transfered mama and the kittens to the nest I had made before, switched Jo's pillow for a new one, and threw stripey into the washing machine. Crazy night for sure. I tried to wake kids to watch, but no one would wake! so here we are 4 kittens later. :) Life is sweet. (We did find good homes for those babies) April 2013

2013 Update #6

Daddy's Birthday!! March was a busy month for us, but filled with lots of Fun. For Steve's Birthday we made his Grandmother's Ravioli recipe from scratch. Its always alot of work but really mostly fun. It used to take all day to make the dough and fillings, roll the dough and press the raviolis then boil then bake before you could even eat! Now with all our new fancy devices raviolis are pretty easy to pull off. ;) But its still fun so we invited a bunch of family and friends and made a big ol'double batch enough for the party and plenty for everyone to take home a pan as well!

2013 Update #5

Stevie and his Priesthood March 17th Where did all the time go? My Angle baby has become a Young Man. Unbelievable in every sense for me, it was just yesterday when I saw him for the first time in his little incubator, and then it was but a moment when he was toddling along after Lizzie playing some silly game with Blue's Clues in the backround. Grandpa came down from California for the special occasion. He hasn't missed one yet! :) It really was wonderful to watch my Husband bless my son with the Priesthood and continue the legacy of the Roberts. I am so very proud of my son, and my husband and grateful for the blessings of the Priesthood that we have been blessed with.

2013 Update #4

Renaissance Fair in Arizona! March 13th We have been before, but this time we went with our friends Emily and Terrance Howard and their kids. We had so much fun together and the kids really do enjoy the whole experience. Jo this year didn't have to sit in a stroller and was 'big girl walking around' kinda scary as she is a wanderer but it worked out well, she even made a few coins when a Beggar asked for her 'help' to make some extra sympathy. :) She said 'okay, whatever' and then sat down and followed his lead. it was silly fun. :) Stevie and daddy climbed a rock wall, liz did some art and everyone got a turn on the swing rides!

Oh Dear....

Here it is the New Year, and I still am not caught up on the Blog. :( I feel terrible about that I really do. I will change that here and now. I will continue to update till i am on time. I am making this promise to myself and my children. last year or so I had to make my Blog Private. I didn't like doing it, and i still don't like it. I am thinking of opening it up again. I will make that choice later, but for now, we are here and I am more organized and more in charge of what is happening around me. I am doing things for myself to help me feel better. weather its keeping my house cleaning, updating my Blog, or Yoga,(my new found joy)I want to be a better me.

Fun With Stevie!

Update #2 In Dec We pulled Stevie from Legacy, the school the kids attend, to try Homeschooling. He hated 6th grade and was really struggling with his spirit. Basically , he just wasn't Stevie. Back to the post! ;) One of his online classes was project based. Stevie got a chance to choose one of them and had planned to organize and 'run' a preschool play date one day. he set it up on FB and picked the day, planned the games and made treats! It was a huge success. Stevie has a real gift for little ones. They think he is amazing!! The funniest part of the day was when he was 'teaching them' Duck Duck Goose. everything was fine until he picked his 'goose' and started running. they each got up as he circled and started running with him, when he turned to sit back down the entire group of 10 3 yr olds were chasing him with great big grins!! So funny!! There is a Stevie buried in the bottom of that kid pile! (lower right picture!)
