A Brand New Do!

With all the tears and crying every morning, my tender headed little girl begged to cut her beautiful long hair. I was worried that shorter hair wouldn't be flattering. But after one particularly bad Morning I said Okay, lets do it. So I called my Friend Amanda and she did it! I cant believe how much it opens up her face and it will be so much cooler during the heat. Lizzie Loves it and so do I! she is even more beautiful to me, next stop? the orthodontist!

Priesthood Camping!

Steve and the boys spent the weekend camping! They got really smelly and dirty. They set up in the rain. They waded into the creepy black water. They dug up crawdads, fished, got bled on by the fish. Ate burnt food, froze all night, and had a blast!
I guess its a guy thing. Me and Lizzie? well we have pretty toes now. Yep, a much better deal for sure.

I think I'm in for a whole lot of Trouble

Katie Jo is not quite 18 months yet. She doesn't really talk, but we sure know when she isn't happy about something. She can cuss you out in her babbling so you know exactly what you did was wrong wrong wrong. and when she is all done she will bang her arms against her sides and Humph away. Lately she has a 'problem' with the clothes I pick out. No kidding, she nods and smiles if she likes it, and shake her head if she doesn't. If you insist on putting something on that she has said no to, she will fight you the whole way and then pull on the clothes when its all done, the whole time screaming. seriously, I have never had a kid like this and I am afraid I am going to be that mom standing in the clothes department trying to convince my 3 year old that this shirt is cuter then that one.

This ones a keeper.. Oh my.

Camp out

Steve and I have always wanted to be a camping family. we have tons of supplies and so many plans. But alas we have only been once. We moved to Az with big plans to camp often, but no. So last weekend, with Steve in charge of the priesthood campout next month, we decided to go for it! just one night, to check out the site. What a lot of work for just one night, we started late and got there at dusk. quickly threw our tent up, then in the dark we searched for wood for our campfire. seems there have been quite a few campers there lately, cause it was cleared out of dry wood! so with twigs and branches and pine needles later we had a mini fire that lasted about 1/2 an hour. all we had to eat was apples, chips and water. oh and some of Jo's fruit leather. very sad, but still fun. Another camping family who showed up a little after us, had "planned' even less then us, so we shared with them, the light, the fire and our food. it was a good lesson for the kids, thats what the gospel is all about. It was super cold that night. 'Cuddling' with 3big kids and a baby, was not as fun as it sounds, and to get up to "potty" in the middle of the cold dark, then trying to squeeze back into my spot was worse. In the morning we cleaned up, then went exploring, It took alot out of Jo, but the kids loved it. We'll go again soon. but for longer and with alot more supplies. Like wood and food. crazy.

Easter Weekend

What a nice Easter weekend we had. So full of Fun, Family, and Chocolate! What more can you ask? :) We started the weekend off with a few chores to "pick up" the house. Then we found this note on the fridge, it says 'I'm running away. If you need me I'm at the mailbox.' It seems we weren't appreciating all the 'hard work' Jimmy was doing, and he left. so after some extra attention and love we brought him back home. goof. Uncle Mikey and Lizzie made a Teepee in the backyard that Lizzie painted Authentic looking pictures on. The Saturday we had the cousins over for an easter egg hunt and some games. Once Jo figured out there was Candy in the eggs, she just sat right down and ate.

Then we dyed eggs, and played some games. Sunday morning, we got our baskets and then we enjoyed conference as a family. What a Blessing to have the opportunity to listen to our Prophet. Sunday afternoon we had sugar meltdown. ( My fav)

Easter was wonderful. Being with Family, always fun. and Conference is always special.
